Tiger Woods set to make a comeback in the Bahamas

He has been plagued with injury issues for the past few years but Tiger Woods is finally ready to make his return next month at the Hero World Challenge that he organises in the Bahamas.

He was meant to return to the green in October for the PGA’s Tour’s Safeway Open in California, but had to withdraw due to his game not quite being where he would like it.

Back on track

However, the fourteen-time world champion is said to be really excited to finally be returning to golf tournaments after recurrent back injuries and back operations hindered his game. This resulted in him not being on top form, or anywhere close to where he once was, for the past few years.

Once renowned for possibly being the best golfer of all time, Woods hasn’t played on a PGA Tour since August 2015 and hasn’t won a tournament since 2013 - with his last title being won in 2008. He is eager to get back out onto the fairway and to get back into the swing of things.

However, Woods has plenty of other projects going on. The Tiger Woods Foundation was set up by Tiger Woods twenty years ago to help children succeed no matter what their background or academic skills are. Children are empowered to exceed expectations, to prove that they can do it, and that if they have a stigma attached to them, then they aren’t going to let that stop them.

Hero World Challenge

The tournament showcases eighteen high quality golfers from all over the world, which includes eight of the world’s top thirteen players. The event will be held for a second year at the Albany Golf Club in New Providence, and will see the likes of Bubba Watson (reigning champion), Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama and Henrik Stenson taking part.

The Hero World Challenge tournament looks to be an exciting and fun golfing event, set at a wonderful course. It will be great for the fans and the world of golf to have Tiger Woods back.
